Todos juntos en Paris,

Our friend Mathieu The taxi driver took us to the airport frist thing to meet Hughie, boy were we glad to see him again. By nine o'clock that morning the strike had ended and then we could use our train passes to get around. Our little apartment in located by a large park next to the metro and it is surrounded by three schools. It is in a nice neighborhood with many families with small children. The entire street in front the the hotel apartment is blocked so the children can play safely.
We took the metro to Champ Élysee where the Christmas market was in full swing. We ate delicious grilled salmon sandwiches, churros, hot wine and tête au chocolat. We also took a stroll down the streets that have the cool stores with famous designers.
We went to the Catacombs, the Arc de Triumph the Louvre museum and everything else except the Eiffel tower and Père Lachaise cemetery so I guess we will have to go back someday.

These area left over pictures from Marsielle, this one is Yoly inside the Mucem.

Cool cart inside Mucem

Detail of cart in Mucem, that's not how to spell museum in any language i know but that's how they spell it, mayby to save money.

We got Hugh, so it all good now.

First stop tha Catacombs, I can't imagine a spookier place.

This is a detail of a shrine built in the memory of one of the bone stackers killed while building a set of stairs.

Here is a stack of bones. They decided to empty out the graveyards and put the bones in unused stone quarries that run all under the city of Paris.

The stacks are six feet high and up to thirty feet deep.

There are odd shapes.

The roof of the quarrys fall down some times. They are stabilised before streets and houses fall in most of the time. This one is supported by an arch. Most of the ones we saw were just held in place with a coat of cement.

You can see the pollution obscuring the view of locks on the far end of the bridge. It was the worst pollution   since 2007.

These are called love locks, you are supossed to hang them on this bridge to ensure love endures as long as the bridge.

Tree graffiti.

Tuilliers in winter.

The pond is frozen.

Two shots of the Eifel tower. That is pollution breaking a record today.

Having breakfast

A view of Montmarte from the park de Buttes Chaumont where we were staying.

Yoly taking a photo for an italian couple and Al can't wait to have his photo taken.

There, it's all better now.

It rained last night and it cleared the view a lot. Christmas market by the Eifel tower.

It started to look a lot more like Christmas!

Santa Claus wind socks for sale.

This was my favorite says Yoly.

Carrousell

This is our favorite place to hang out in Paris. The Westin

New precious art exhibition at the Louvre Museum

The Louvre in a more quiet day.

Iphonesus immortalizing self portaiture.

The Monna Lisa on budget. Yoly could not get through the crowd for the real one.

Magnificent art master pieces

We are going to miss this coat for a while. It's going to storage today. How will we ever find him?

Some one is going on an extended vacation pretty soon.
