Vimy Ridge

We saw Vimy Ridge Saturday August 10 early in the morning. Vimy Ridge is a memorial site dedicated to the men who lost their live fighting in the First World War. Canadians won this battle. We also visited some of the cemeteries where many Canadians are buried. The ridge is huge and there still remain scars of the battle field. During the battle, many kilometres of tunnels were built under Vimy Ridge by Canadians. A Canadian sculptor designed the monument for Vimy Ridge.

That's why Vimy ridge is here.

There are many sites remembering the Canadians here.
