Our 6 days in Haarlem have been awesome!

Saturday: Went to the market and bought delicious fruit, pastries, and cheese. Then we went to Maurice's house for dinner
Sunday went for a bike ride with Maurice, Frances and Nora, had lunch, visit the ruins of a castle castle, had lunch and after we all went to a Rugby game.
Monday: went to Amsterdam
Tuesday: Tyler museum, Fran's hall museum
Wednesday: sent a package home, did laundry and packed our bags

Drinking beer with my drinking buddy from back in the day.

All sorts show up for the jazz and more festival in Haarlem, these folks were giving away iced tea.

George the cat walked us half way home from our friends house.

Nice crowd for the Jazz festival.

A picture of a castle, just pretend I am not in the photo.

Someone can see more in pieces of driftwood than I can.

The castle ruins from the top. This day there was an art exhibition at the castle featuring bronze work.

A visiting Canadian rugby team receives a doleful drubbing at the hands of Seamus' new team. The Canadians were older and bigger but not as skilled as the Dutch side. I never realized how skillfull a game rugby was until today, thanks Seamus.

Both sides together for a photo after the game.

A little house built in 1649, a few steps from our hotel.

Harlem train station.

Harlem at night

A house built in a particular style.

I didn't like Amsterdam much it smelled like removing a transmission from a garbage truck and that smells a lot like work. I don't like work.

We climbed to the top of the science centre to have a look about

And that is what we saw.

A bicycle for four people, mostly little people.

A doll house at the Frans Hall museum. The detail is incredible.

We like Haarlem.

  1. Awesome pictures from a talented couple. Morris looks like he aged well too. Went to Masaya yesterday. My timing was perfect as it was Pictures of the Menu Day. I got to sample most of the food that is on the menu after the photos. Had a Turkish Coffee that was tasty and turkish like I like it. Left without paying and have to go back again to settle the bill. Take Care.
