Oct 21 Then we quickly rode to Toulouse.

Wow are there ever a lot of hills on the route we took to Toulouse. You could tell that big bike races  happened on these roads because of all the slogans written on the road cheering on the favourite teams. One memorable climb was a big sprint on the tour de france and it had the sprint line banners and everything. We stopped in Marciac, then Auch and the last stop before Toulouse was L'Isle de Jordain. Auch would have been nicer with fresh legs but at the end of the day we found ourselves in a town built on the walls of a valley that we zig zagged across to get to our hill top hotel. It was a nice place but we were tired and cranky. Then in L'Isle de Jordan we got to see some people cable waterskiing. That is when you get towed around in a circle by a thing like a chairlift over the water.

Two flats in two days and a broken front rack the next, tough couple of days on the gear. We bought one new tire and are still searching for a replacement rack. Maybe I will get Hugh to bring one when he comes for Christmas.
