A wine tour and almost a trip to Pont du Gard

We took a wine tour and almost went to the Pont du Gard.

The first part of the wine tour was awesome and I suppose the last part was good too but no one remembers. We went to four locations to view the winemaking process from start to finish and toured some interesting places that our clever driver/guide Serge knew about. We got to sample wine and chocolate along the way it was great! Serge was a pretty funny guy who knew quite a lot about the local wine growing regions. We got to interview some Spanish folks working in fields picking grapes thanks to Yoly's language skills and they let us take their pictures. We bought some wine and almost bought some really expensive wine but decided against it in the end because there is only so much wine we can drink in the next couple of days.

We missed the bus to Pont de Gard waiting in line to find out where to catch the bus to the Pont. The bus station is being renovated and none of our online research prepared us for the change in bus schedules and of course location of the stop. The renovation started two weeks ago and the provisional station for the group of buses we needed didn't work. So we watched the bus go by and went for some soup and coffee to calm our nerves and make a new plan. New plan was go to the museums that we had a discount card for and chill.

We saw some cool stuff in the museums and chilled.

A real oak barrel with wine in it.

More of the same.

5500 litre barrels.

60 000 litre primary fermentation and juice storage tanks.

Can you tell I think I am a wine expert. Can you tell Dianne thinks I am full of it.

I tricked this pretty girl a long time ago.
